Wind

Walking through the deep, deep snow.
Snow was getting caught in my claws.
I knew I would have to rest soon.
The cool winter wind made the fur on my back fly up.
The cool wind began to hurt the little skin that was showing.
I turned around to see more wolves walking my way.
I didn't understand.
Were they coming to help me find my clan?
No, they were my clan.
I saw my love, with her dazzaling eyes and her pitch black fur.
"Jake," she asked,"Is that you?"
I was shocked that Elizabeth had remembered my name; I had been lost for a while.
I ran to her, overly happy to see her.
As I ran closer to her she started to fade away.
No, I thought. She was just there, I don't understand!!!
How could she be here one minute and gone the next?

I woke up gasping for air.
Darn, I thought, another dream.
All of the sudden the cold winter wind blew in my back.
I turned around, startled.
C'mon Jake, I thought to myself, you've got to calm down.
But I couldn't, for there was Elizabeth, again.

This time it wasn't a dream, I could feel it.
I ran toward her shouting with joy, for my love and I had been reunited.
